A strategic component of Project Redwood is non-financial project support. Each of our grantees had the benefit of a team of Project Redwood advisors to assist with program development. Accomplishments include:
- Developing a project plan to initiate a microenterprise finance program in 5-7 communities where our sponsored project has a strong presence
- Providing a strategic assessment of the sunflower oil business in East Africa to support expansion of a local business development initiative
- Brokering a deal with a renowned Hollywood producer to produce a project-specific informational video for use in fundraising and public awareness campaigns
- Orchestrating a web site re-design in advance of a major public relations campaign
- Making introductions to subject matter experts in establishing US-based retail distribution for African products
