Woman At Market

I've learned that you shouldn't go
through life with a catcher's mitt
on both hands; you need to
be able to throw something back.

Who We Are

In September 1978, 306 men and women began a rigorous course of study at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. In two short years, we earned our MBAs and the chance to make a difference in corporate America. We also garnered a strong intellectual network and lasting friendships.

In the years following graduation, the Class of 1980 excelled professionally. One third of us led companies as Chairpersons, Executive Officers, Principals and Partners. Our careers have spanned for-profit, non-profit and government. We've worked in small companies and multinational enterprises and everything in between. And we’ve sustained our thirst for knowledge by collaborating with subject matter experts and trusted associates on the ground.

At our twenty-fifth reunion, we saw a chance to make a difference in the world. We formed Project Redwood to place our collective experience and financial resources in service of the desperately poor. As of July 2008, 117 classmates have signed on as Project Redwood Partners.
