What We Do Other Projects
Several classmates submitted projects for consideration in our first two grant review cycles. Each application addressed a very real and crucial need among
the poor. While the grant pool proved insufficient to support these worthy causes, we encourage your interest in the following organizations:
Bwindi Community Health Centre (www.bchc.ug)
This Uganda-based organization and its California partner address malnutrition, malaria, HIV/AIDS, family planning and dental services for indigenous pygmy populations who have been displaced by the creation of a national park.

This Croydon Park, NSW, Australia-based organization works with local partners in ministry to impoverished communities and areas in crisis to provide disaster relief, education, healthcare and microenterprise development.

This East Palo Alto, CA-based organization promotes education, training and service at a summer leadership camp for at-risk youth.

This Valley Forge, PA-based organization fosters health and economic development for citizens wounded during the civil war in Sierra Leone. Their special focus is the amputee community.

This Larkspur, CA-based organization offers numerous programs in Malawi to assist those in need of HIV/AIDS prevention and care.

This Los Angeles-based organization works in the Manu Rain Forest of the Peruvian Amazon to bring clean water, sanitation, health & hygiene and education to the native community.

Founded by a Stanford MBA Class of 2008, this emerging enterprise provides comprehensive solutions to impoverished communities in partnership with local leaders and volunteer work crews. The pilot project is in the Kuria District, Kenya.

This San Luis Obispo, CA-based organization provides services to exploited cocoa farmers in West Africa, encourages the conscientious consumption of cocoa products, and supports Fair Trade policies.
