Who We Are Governance
Project Redwood is a special project of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Inc. (RPA), a Delaware not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation. As part of its mission and services, RPA facilitates the charitable purposes of Project Redwood by serving as the fiscal sponsor for the initiative. For more information about RPA, visit: www.rockpa.org.
Guided by a set of by-laws, the governance structure of Project Redwood includes a Board of Directors and several committees, notably:
- An executive committee that takes action on behalf of the Board of Directors, as necessary, to conduct the business of Project Redwood;
- A fundraising committee that secures investment funds and manages relations between Project Redwood and its Partners;
- A grant review committee that evaluates proposals and presents finalists for Partner vote;
- A project support committee that mobilizes non-financial resources to support our approved projects;
- An education committee that deepens our understanding of global poverty and effective philanthropy; and,
- A communications committee that provides oversight of internal and external correspondence.
