What You Can Do Give Time & Contacts
As a class, we possess extraordinary skills, experience and connections. Therefore, a strategic component of Project Redwood is non-financial project support.
Each of our inaugural grantees had the benefit of a team of Project Redwood advisors to assist with program development. Accomplishments to date include:
- Developing a project plan to initiate a microenterprise finance program in 5-7 communities where our sponsored project has a strong presence
- Providing a strategic assessment of the sunflower oil business in East Africa to support expansion of a local business development initiative
- Brokering a deal with a renowned Hollywood producer to produce a project-specific informational video for use in fundraising and public awareness campaigns
- Exploring possibilities for placing field interns overseas to initiate new programs and/or evaluate the effectiveness of existing ones
- Orchestrating a web site re-design in advance of a major public relations campaign
- Making introductions to subject matter experts in establishing US-based retail distribution for African products
- Re-casting an organization's "story" and associated marketing literature to attract major investors
- Establishing links with a large credit card processor to lower transaction costs for on-line donations
- Providing input and feedback on organizational strategy and resource development
