What We Do
Frontier Housing

Frontier Housing provides affordable, quality housing coupled with good, fair loans to the rural poor in Appalachia. They partnered with Clayton Homes, a Warren Buffett company, to build durable, energy-efficient, single-wide manufactured homes for Frontier's clientele. Clayton Homes donated the time to develop the prototype and will provide manufacturing capacity to take the prototype into production. Our grant helps fund the construction of the prototype.

Frontier Housing seeks assistance with their business plan for a national manufactured housing distribution model. This plan will explore options for a national distributor, dealer licenses in other states, capitalization through social venture funds and product branding.
