What We Do DIG is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission is to improve the physical, emotional and economic well-being of impoverished HIV/AIDS individuals in developing nations. DIG installs micro-nutrient-rich gardens using locally available, low- and no-cost materials. DIG has been awarded a grant to build gardens at outpatient clinics in Kyabirwa and Jinja, Uganda. Both treat a substantial client base with HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria. The gardens will serve as demonstration and education sites, as a food resource for the clinics and as a source of income for participants. DIG will also help a select group of 10 individuals per site establish home gardens. DIG would like to pursue non-financial support that includes, but is not limited to, Board membership by PRW partners, in-kind services and contacts to help develop DIG’s organizational structure, marketing and development consulting to create a stronger donor and support base and business planning consulting. For more information, see the DIG website: www.developmentingardening.org or contact project sponsor Bill Westwood at Bill.Westwood@KornFerry.com.
