While a handful of countries and a small
number of people lead an ample life, dozens of
countries and billions of people in Africa, Asia
and Latin America are left in absolute poverty.

What We Do
Care To Help

Care to Help is a Seattle-based, 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the basic health and educational needs of the poor. Since 2002, they have transformed 25,000 lives in villages across the Central Highlands of Vietnam through the provision of more than 20 safe water systems, 6 schools, an orphanage dormitory and several sanitation projects.

Vietnamese SchoolOur grant financed Care To Help’s sixth school and associated well system and toilet facilities. The school is situated on the grounds of a Buddhist Pagoda. The nuns make sure that everything stays in good working order. They also form alliances with other community resources to provide school supplies and lunches for the children. The government agreed to fund teacher salaries.

Because of this effort, several hundred children will be able to attend school without bearing the burden of tuition. Moreover, the water and sanitation system will reduce the incidence of water-borne disease for an entire village.

Care To help receives most of its funding from individuals and small businesses. As all stateside labor, office space and equipment are donated, every dollar they receive benefits people in need. We supported their fundraising efforts by creating an organizational brochure to help spread the word about their work.
